Congratulations are in-order for EB/Streymur. What a great group of players to hold a Premier League squad to two goals. They lost 4-0 in aggregate but showed a lot of character. While today “we wanted results” and jobs were on the line, there was little that showed that level of commitment.

The club has formally announced that the Tal Ben-Haim is complete as he signed a four-year contract with the club. Although undisclosed, the transfer fee is widely accepted to be in the £5m range. Tal will be a solid addition to the defending core and provide quality experience to the squad.

The much-rumoured move of Tal Ben-Haim from Chelsea is apparently to be concluded mid-week as per the Manchester Evening News with a price-tag of £5m. There has been no confirmation of this by the club although it has been bantered around quite a bit.
