a £30m loan

Per The Times, Man City has taken a £30m loan against future broadcasting revenue in order for Mark Hughes to dip into the transfer market. Please note this is unsubstantiated and if true, I significantly doubt that all of these these funds will be used towards purchases. Given the clubs recent short-term borrowing, they have experienced unfavourable variances in interest costs and are surely allocating funds towards this and other operating costs.
