Darius Vassell out for 3 months
By: j | August 12th, 2008As I noted in my review of the AC Milan friendly I wasn’t too pleased with the match as it just seemed that the focus was more on a victory then preparing for a season. However the worst part of the match was the extended use of Valeri Bojinov, who is not even close to being fully recovered and injuries suffered by Darius Vassell and Micah Richards.
While the club doesn’t appear to understand the notion of taking a professional approach to media relations and actually release pertinent, factual information, the Manchester Evening News is reporting that Darius Vassell damaged knee ligaments and will be out for three months. I apologize for the lack of clear-cut information and my obvious demeanor but the antiquated notion of not releasing reports on injuries, much-less using appropriate medical terminology is ridiculous. At this level, factual information is warranted.
