John Terry for Chelsea

The Guardian is reporting in Thursday’s editions that John Terry is set to make a public announcement that he will stay with Chelsea, presumably on improved terms.

That looks to be that, and now the world can go on as usual; from City’s perspective, as discussed Tuesday, there is no reason to take this news as a disaster. Signing Terry would have been a coup of sorts but this was not a deal that was essential for City’s prospects of breaking up the Sky Four. City will have to look elsewhere for reinforcements in central defense; now the focus will turn to Joleon Lescott.
