Kasper Schmeichel leading Denmark
By: j | August 26th, 2008It isn’t much of a secret but Kasper Schmeichel has not been pleased with his role at Man City since he signed his contract and has been looking for a move. This situation doesn’t seem like it will be ironed-out soon as City has spurned approaches from all clubs. However his continued work, particularly on the international scene is gathering a great deal of attention and the situation is likely going to heat up quite a bit very shortly as his leadership has Denmark’s U21 on the verge of qualifying for UEFA European U-21 Championship qualifiers. They face Finland on September 5 and Scotland four days later in two critical matches to decide their fate and equally could go a long way to inspiring clubs to make a greater push for him.
