Michael Johnson to get new contract

The Manchester Evening News is reporting that Mark Hughes is closing in on a deal to keep twenty year-old Midfielder Michael Johnson at City. Reputedly the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham and his youth club, Everton are ready to swoop in on the £12m rated emerging star. Known for his superb field presence, vision and work-rate, he should be considered a fixture in the club and his contract an immediate priority.
