Rei do Futebol clears up scandal
By: j | March 25th, 2009After reports came out the Pelé had accused Robinho and Ronaldo of drug problems, the Rei do Futebol denied making such claims when speaking with media mogul TV Globo.
“He is our son and came out of Santos, where he had our supervision. What happened was a misunderstanding and the information was brought to him wrongly.”
Explaining that the media fabricated the story he added:
I know what the people who need to sell newspapers are like. When there’s a story like this you need to ask for the recording to hear what was really said.”
