Maybe he is better as a defensive mid, which is where he, like Anthony Van de Borre or Vadis Odja-Ofoe (all Anderlecht youth products) started their career before being moved back to cover for the lack of quality in Anderlechts defence. This may have been one of the best signings of the summer, an astute one from Sparky, and coupled with the great midfield play of Ireland, Johnson and Petrov and the exciting talent of Sturridge, Man City are looking real good right now.
