Thaksin Shinawatra in hiding?

By: j | August 10th, 2008

With Manchester City Thaksin Shinawatra owner due in court in Thailand today for the latest hearing on his corruption charges, media reports are suggesting that he and his wife have went into hiding and skipped bail. I’m not sure where to start with this one although I have been detailing how the companies finances are in a highly compromised situation but this is a whole new level of ownership problems. If these events are true, the league and regulatory bodies must immediately step-in to maintain proper management and sanctity of the game.

I will update this situation as further information is available.

He’s not in hiding. He and his wife are in the UK, which was always going to be where they would stay to wait out these charges.

And the Premier League isn’t going to do anything. They protect their own to the hilt, and it’s very easy to downplay the “real” significance of a conviction in absentia in Thailand.

    BBC story:

“The ousted Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra has said he will not return to Thailand from the UK.

In a statement released to the Thai media, Mr Thaksin said he and his wife would remain in the UK, “where democracy is more important”.

I fear for Manchester City FC as a whole, if the stories are true, I have heard from fans in england that they fear MCFC will not be a club at the end of the year.

wtih all his dirty rip off cheat the whole nation of thai people.

He and himself collected tax than any government, but pay “0″ tax or cheat tax anyway he could. He sold us in pieces for his own profit, he bought us in thai baht, make billion in euor, dollar, uk pound and buy esteemed football club in UK?

All people talk about is only a football team!!!

give me a break people, do you want CROOK to run your club?

I’m as a thai think, if thai government took all his asset and put in “central bank” for we are a poor country and he and his family can stay in UK penniless and let’s see if UK still want him?!

Manchester see him as flee bail.
For Thai, we see him as flee with guilt and he deserved punishment not just money issue!

If he runs manchester, one day you woke up and found out your club belong to binladen! I mean, thai woke up one day, found out he sold 1 TV to singapore already!

He’s not fit for anything….TOO greedy!
