the first sign is denial
By: j | September 16th, 2008On the heels of Ronaldo’s claims that he is readying to join the Brazil beat at Eastlands, the club has denied interest. The striker is a free-agent after suffering a serious knee injury at AC Milan last year and is training with Fluminense.
A City spokesman noted to the BBC:
“We had shown a past interest in bringing the player to the football club in the right circumstances and spoke to him and his representatives. However, we have chosen not to pursue the matter.”
Ronaldo notes the contrary:
“I like the project that City presented me. It’s the best offer I’ve received and it will be interesting to play with Robinho.”
While it is unclear how this will settle I do have it on very inside knowledge that the club is reviewing Seleção members, Léo who plays at Grêmio, Marcelo of Real Madrid and Thiago Silva of Fluminense.

Marcelo is going no where, so thats out. But Leo isnt a bad player, although I assume eventually Vincent Kompany will move back to CB despite his good showings at the DM position. Also, Thiago Silva is so over priced it would take a billionaire to think he was worth the money, ohhh wait…Looks like Brazilians in England may finally happen with this new management group. Cheers!
